A suspect was arraigned Wednesday in the stabbing death of a 69-year-old man in Queens.
Police say 22-year-old Steven Torres stabbed Ever Orozco to death on a Jackson Heights street Monday because he thought Orozco was gay.
Investigators originally called it a hate crime, but at this time, Torres is being charged with second-degree murder and criminal possession of a weapon.
Torres was chased and caught by eyewitnesses and an undercover cop after the stabbing.
He faces up to 25 years to life in prison if convicted.
