Police are asking the public for help tracking down a man wanted in connection with an attempted robbery in the Hamilton Heights section of Manhattan.

The incident took place last Tuesday night near the corner of Amsterdam Avenue and 141st Street.

According to police, the suspect followed a 64-year-old woman into the lobby of a building, told her he had a gun and demanded money.

When another man entered the lobby, officials say the suspect fled the scene empty handed.

Anyone with information on the case should contact the Crime Stoppers hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS, or text CRIMES and then enter TIP577, or visit ClientIP:, UserAgent: CCBot/2.0 ( Profile: TWCSAMLSP
