The 87th annual Feast of San Gennaro held its grand procession Saturday.
The 11-day festival kicked off in Little Italy on Thursday, offering entertainment, music and a wide variety of food.
The parade Saturday began at 2 p.m. and featured former Governor Mario Cuomo and his wife Matilda as its grand marshals.
The festival, a celebration of the Patron Saint of Naples, runs along Mulberry Street between Canal and Houston Streets.
Those NY1 spoke with say they come to the festival not only for the sights and the sounds, but also for the food.
"I'm definitely going to need some of these sausage and peppers over here and probably a cannoli, not good for my waist line. I'm a singer-songwriter so trying to keep it clean, but food here is to die for," said one festival goer.
"Food, the excitement, watching my grandchildren on the rides, eating our Ferrara's, getting my cannoli and rice ball. Just the food and everything else," said another.
The festival will run until September 22.
