If you take the Brooklyn Bridge and the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway this weekend, you could run into serious traffic.
The Department of Transportation says that Manhattan-bound lanes on the Brooklyn Bridge are closed for construction until 6 a.m. Monday.
Pedestrian and bike paths will remain open, though the pedestrian staircase at Frankfort Street in Manhattan will be closed until Sunday night.
On the BQE, eastbound lanes from exit 28A to 29A will be closed from 2 a.m. to 7 a.m. on Sunday morning and from midnight to 4 a.m. on Monday.
Drivers are being advised to seek alternate routes.
