More New Yorkers are reportedly going for illegal dips in the city's pools after hours.
The Daily News says 53 people were ejected from city pools for taking late-night swims this summer, up from just 9 people last year.
No one was arrested.
More than 30 of the cases occurred at the Edenwald Houses pool in the Bronx.
The News says police have been sent to guard Brooklyn's McCarren Park pool, because of the surge in illegal swimming.
Today marks the last day that city pools are open before they close for the season.
