The Metropolitan Transportation Authority was forced to suspend B and Q subway service in Brooklyn on Thursday after two cats somehow found their way onto the tracks inside the Church Avenue B and Q station.

MTA workers cut power to the third rail just after 11 a.m., which briefly suspended service from Dekalb Avenue to Brighton Beach.

Police officers climbed down onto the tracks in an attempt to rescue the felines.

By the time the officers got there, however, the cats were nowhere to be found.

They were later found underneath the third rail of an express track.

Service resumed just after 1 p.m. after being suspended for more than an hour. ClientIP:, UserAgent: CCBot/2.0 ( Profile: TWCSAMLSP
