Patients at a Bronx nursing home received a scare after a tree crashed into it early Thursday morning.
It happened at around 4:45 a.m. at the Methodist Home for Nursing and Rehabilitation in Riverdale.
An official from the home told NY1 that the red oak came from neighboring Brust Park.
The official said that parts of the tree fell into a resident's room.
That person was not hurt.
A hole was left on the side of the brick building.
Nursing home officials said said that a contractor is fixing the damage, and they said that the Buildings Department deemed the structure to be safe.
