An arrest has been made in connection with the shooting death of a small business owner in Brooklyn.

Police say Robert Bullock gunned down 32-year-old Mohamed Bilal Monday afternoon.

The 24-year-old Bullock faces murder charges.

The attack happened as Bilal was working at the New Attitude Electronics store on New Lots Avenue in East New York.

Bilal, a native of Pakistan, came to the city a few months ago.

"I was shocked. I was stunned. I had to sit down when I was told it, because it hurts, again, so many different levels," said one person. "He's not someone that you would ever think that that would happen to."

"He was probably here for maybe about four, five months," said another. "He's from Pakistan, and he just had a daughter. He didn't even get to hold her yet."

Police say the shooting may have stemmed from a botched robbery, and they say that Bullock gave Bilal a bag to put money in.

Police have also charged Bullock with attempted robbery and criminal possession of a weapon.
