Attorneys wrapped up a private hearing on the future of Long Island College Hospital Thursday.
Earlier this week, a judge found that SUNY Downstate violated an agreement to maintain operations at the hospital.
The judge ordered LICH's former operator, Continuum Health Partners, to resume control, but Continuum said it cannot re-assume management of LICH nor take responsibility for its operations.
SUNY Downstate said it poured millions of dollars into LICH in an attempt to reverse nearly two decades of financial losses, but to no avail.
The judge has not yet announced a decision.
