The New York Times and New York Post are finding themselves on common ground this election season.
Both papers on Saturday endorsed Scott Stringer over Eliot Spitzer in the race for City Comptroller.
The Times editorial staff wrote, "Stringer has done an outstanding job as Manhattan borough president and would make a fine New York City comptroller."
They added, "In this turbulent election season, we don’t need another celebrity office seeker."
Meanwhile, The Post had some harsh words for Spitzer.
Saturday's headline read, "Eliot should be indicted, not in office."
In the strongly worded editorial, the paper said the race "should be no contest."
