Police were searching over the weekend for a suspect in a double stabbing inside a livery cab in the Woodside section of Queens that left one man dead and his friend injured early Saturday morning.

Surveillance video shows a dark-colored sedan pulling up to the scene where the two men were stabbed before 5 a.m. Saturday.

Authorities say Isaac Martinez, 26, and his 33-year-old friend were trying to hail a cab when they got into an argument with the car's driver, who pulled out a knife.

Martinez, seen above right, was stabbed in the chest and died, the 33-year-old man was stabbed in the torso and the rear window of the car was smashed.

The driver then pulled away.

"I hope they catch the guy because I don't want another people crying like us," said Raul Martinez, Isaac's father.

"He probably mistook the cab, because black cars all look alike. He probably tried to get into the car. Then the driver came at them with a bat and then a knife and stabbed them," said Veronica Brena, Isaac Martinez's cousin.

"I just want to know why this happened," said Michael Aguirra, another cousin of Isaac Martinez. "I don't want to just know that he's dead and not get any answers, because there has to be a reason why this happened."

As police search for witnesses to the double stabbing, other groups are offering rewards.

"We are offering a $5,000 reward for anyone who can give us information about who committed this crime," said Fernando Mateo, the president of Hispanics Across America. "Automatically anyone would think it's a livery cab driver, but there are about 10,000 of these cars in the city streets, in front of hospitals, in front of every major institution, with private plates."

Isaac Martinez, who was an inspiring DJ, leaves behind a wife, a 5-year-old son named Erick and an extended family who adored him.

"Just a nice person, just making us laugh. I'm sorry, it just doesn't seem like it's real," said Brena.

Police say the suspect is between 5-feet-3-inches to 5-feet-8-inches tall with dark hair and was last seen wearing a white t-shirt and blue jeans.
