A pair of rare roseate spoonbill chicks are taking up residence at the Bronx Zoo.

The chicks and nine adult spoonbills are now on exhibit in the zoo's Aquatic Bird House.

Spoonbills are named for their flat, spoon-shaped bills.

They live in colonies in the wetlands of the southeastern United States, Mexico and South America.
