Law enforcement sources tell NY1 that possible human remains have been found at the former Queens home of infamous local mobster Jimmy Burke.

The FBI has been searching a home in Ozone Park where Burke once lived as part of an investigation involving organized crime.

Authorities believe Burke was the mastermind behind the legendary Lufthansa Airlines heist at JFK Airport in 1978.

Burke, who died in prison in 1996, was the inspiration for Roberto De Niro's character in the film "Goodfellas."
