This year's Tony Awards are giving Broadway a big bounce.

Millions of TV viewers resulted in millions of dollars at the box office from June 10 to the 16th.

The Tonys were handed out on June 9.

According to the Broadway League, "Kinky Boots" did almost $1.5 million in ticket sales the week after winning the trophy for best musical.

The circus-themed revival of "Pippin" picked up four Tonys and crossed the million dollar mark for a single week for the first time after the awards.

"Matilda the Musical'' won four Tonys then broke the house record at the Shubert Theatre, taking in just over a million dollars in the week after the trophies were handed out.

And "Motown the Musical'' did not win a Tony, but got valuable screen time with a Michael Jackson medley.

It had its best week ever after the Tonys, setting a new record at The Lunt-Fontanne Theatre.
