Mayor Michael Bloomberg said Tuesday that it's possible the city's bike share program will be up and running by Memorial Day.

It was originally supposed to start in March, but Hurricane Sandy damaged some of the equipment, pushing back the launch date.

The program is still a contentious issue for some residents, who object to the city's placement of some of the bike racks.
