Brooklyn state Senator John Sampson is reportedly under scrutiny as part of a federal corruption probe.

According to the Daily News, Sampson is identified in court papers as having asked former Queens state Senator Shirley Huntley to use her influence to help a businessman expand his lease at Kennedy Airport in March of last year.

Sources tell the News that the FBI is also looking into a $100,000 loan one of Sampson's legal clients that made to him.

The Daily News says Sampson could be charged in federal court sometime this week.

Earlier this year, Huntley pleaded guilty to federal fraud charges.

Federal prosecutors say she wore a wire between June and August of last year as part of a deal to reduce her potential penalties.

Former Assemblyman Nelson Castro also recorded conversations for investigators, and allegedly implicated Assemblyman Eric Stevenson in a bribery scheme.
