The NYPD is on the lookout for two young suspects who they say tried to rob a woman in Central Park.

Police say the victim was walking near Fifth Avenue and 107th Street Monday night when a girl believed to be 12 to 14 years old demanded her cellphone.

After she refused, according to police, a boy around 10 or 11 years old allegedly attempted to grab her pocketbook.

Police say the woman was able to keep her pocketbook and that the suspects fled after the attempt.

The girl was wearing a black jacket with a red hood and had a braided pony tail, according to police.

Police say the boy was seen wearing a beige striped fleece.

A girl seen wearing a purple shirt in surveillance footage is also wanted for questioning.

Anyone with information on the case should contact the Crime Stoppers hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS, or text CRIMES and then enter TIP577, or visit ClientIP:,, UserAgent: CCBot/2.0 ( Profile: TWCSAMLSP
