Police are searching for the man who they say sexually abused and tried to rob a woman walking her dog on the East Side of Manhattan on Saturday morning.

Police say the man approached the woman with a gun as she walked her dog on East 27th Street at around 2 a.m.

They say he demanded money and her cellphone and then sexually abused her before taking off.

Anyone with information on the case should contact the Crime Stoppers hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS, or text CRIMES and then enter TIP577, or visit www.nypdcrimestoppers.com.
