A Queens man was arrested and charged on Tuesday with attempting to rape a jogger by Forest Park last week.

Authorities allege that Richard Kassebaum, 42, approached his 23-year-old victim near a wooded area in the park on Friday evening, assaulted her with a Taser gun and tried to remove her clothes.

Sources tell NY1 the attacker stopped the assault when he saw a couple walking their dog and stole the victim's iPhone instead.

Kassebaum is facing charges of attempted predatory sexual assault, attempted rape and sex abuse.

The victim was treated at a local hospital. ClientIP:, UserAgent: CCBot/2.0 ( Profile: TWCSAMLSP
