NY1 got a sneak peek Tuesday oft the One World Observatory, located on the 100th though 102nd floors of One World Trade Center, and its panoramic views of Lower Manhattan.

Special elevators called "Skypods" will give visitors a the virtual experience of being outside the building as they make their ascent and descent in a quick 60 seconds.

Once complete, the observatory will have restaurants, a gift shop and a performance space.

When finished, One World Trade will be the tallest building in the Western Hemisphere at 1,776 feet.
