Nearly four dozen people were arrested Wednesday night during another round of protests in East Flatbush stemming from the police shooting of a teenager.

The New York City Police Department says officers in riot gear responded to an area near East 54th Street and Church Avenue after bottles were thrown.

There was also a lot of pushing, shoving and screaming among protesters.

Police say most of the arrests were for disorderly conduct.

The protests come two nights after some protesters smashed windows and ransacked a Rite Aid pharmacy.

The tension stems from the weekend shooting of 16-year-old Kimani Gray.

Officers shot Gray Saturday night after police say the teen pointed a handgun at them.

Gray's family and friends have questioned the NYPD's account and whether police should have opened fire.

Autopsy results show Gray was hit seven times, on the front and back of his body.
