Prosecutors wrapped up their case Monday in Manhattan's federal court against a city police officer accused of wanting to kill, cook and eat several women, showing more videos and images that they said show that the policeman wanted to attack women and practice cannibalism.

Jurors saw scores of graphic images and videos found on Gilberto Valle's laptop that show women being bound and cooked, which prosecutors say proves that the policeman was wanted to kidnap, cook and eat several women, including his wife.

The material, which is too graphic to show on television, includes shots of women with apples stuffed in their mouths or roasting over open flames.

Prosecutors also presented Valle's Google searches for methods of cooking human flesh and ways to tie up people.

The defense, which is expected to begin presenting its case on Tuesday, said that Valle was only involved in an extreme form of fantasy role play, and was not serious about acting out these scenarios in real life.

Defense attorneys said Valle may need to take to stand, but they would prefer not to have that happen, as the officer would have to explain sexual fantasies he had since he was a teenager.

Valle could get life in prison if convicted.
