Police have identified a suspect in the case of murdered Staten Island resident Sarai Sierra, whose body was found in Istanbul.
Authorities are searching for a homeless man named Ziya T.
Turkish authorities connected him with the beating death of the 33-year-old mother of two in Istanbul due to physical evidence.
Sierra's body was found on February 2 after disappearing during her visit to Turkey late last month.
DNA from blood on her shirt and fingernails was matched to that of a strand of hair belonging to Ziya, which was recovered from a pillow at his brother's house.
Sierra was buried last week on Staten Island.
