A photo released this week shows what appears to be a drunken airline passenger on a New York-bound flight who had to be restrained with duct tape.

This photo was apparently taken aboard an Iceland Air flight on Thursday.

While Iceland Air says it cannot confirm the photo's validity, a spokesman says there was a situation where crew members and other passengers had to restrain a drunk passenger.

The spokesman says all flights carry equipment like duct tape and plastic ties.

Port Authority police say the man was drunk, but was not charged with a crime.
