Mayor Michael Bloomberg says engineers have determined ties binding the partially collapsed crane dangling near a Midtown high-rise are secure.

The mayor says there's still no timeframe for when it will come down.

Crews are still looking for a permanent fixture to make sure it does not fall.

The crane has been hanging 75 stories up above 57th Street between Sixth and Seventh Avenues since Monday when high winds caused it to fail.

Several blocks around the crane remain cordoned off and surrounding buildings have been evacuated.

The Daily News reports a representative with the company that manufactured the crane examined it and determined it is stable.
