Police were searching Sunday for a man suspected of a deadly double shooting at a Bronx motel.

Authorities say Joseph Kernizan, 42, seen above, shot and killed Wayne Hamilton, 50, and Tracy Bennett, 38, in the parking lot of the Holiday Motel on the New England Thruway Saturday morning.

Sources say Bennett was Kernizan's wife and that Hamilton was her boyfriend.

They also say Hamilton is a reggae artist who performed under the name Captain Barkey.

Police say Kernizan is 5-feet-5-inches tall and weighs 220 pounds.

Anyone with information on the case should contact the Crime Stoppers hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS, or text CRIMES and then enter TIP577, or visit ClientIP:, UserAgent: CCBot/2.0 ( Profile: TWCSAMLSP
