The mother of a man shot and killed by police inside his Queens home is demanding answers from investigators.

Lorna Francis said the NYPD and the Queens District Attorney have not contacted her regarding the investigation into her son's death.

Police say 27-year old Walwyn Jackson had a knife to his throat and lunged at an officer on Sept. 7.

Investigators say the officer shot him only after a sergeant's Taser gun missed and Jackson continued to charge at him.

"I leave my sons in Jamaica and I work hard and bring them here and then for my son to just die, I wasn't even imagining a cop killing my son because it's not like he was a bad kid," Francis said.

"It's been over 30 days. 30 days," said Neville Mitchell, an attorney for the victim's family. "No one from the police department, not even a patrolman, has come to this family and said 'this is what's going on.'"

Jackson leaves behind a 1-month-old son named Landon.

The family said they want an open and transparent investigation.

NY1 has reached out to the NYPD but has not yet heard back.
