A new study puts JFK International Airport at the top of the list of airports most likely to spread disease.
Researchers at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology examined the likelihood of particular airports to spread contagions that could lead to a pandemic.
JFK ranked at the top of the list.
The study says Kennedy's ranking has nothing to do with cleanliness but is based on the airport's location and the number of passengers that pass through.
Another highly trafficked airport, Los Angeles International, ranks second. It's followed surprisingly by the much smaller Honolulu airport which ranks high because of its connections to other busy international hubs.
San Francisco came in fourth followed by Newark airport.
