A Queens man is now facing upgraded charges of first-degree murder in the beating and strangling death of his girlfriend.
The Queens District Attorney announced the new charge Friday in the 10-count indictment of Jason Bohn.
The DA said the 33-year-old allegedly acted in a manner intended to torture his victim.
Police found Danielle Thomas dead last month in the pair's Astoria apartment.
Her body was in the bathtub, surrounded by bags of ice.
If convicted, Bohn could face up to life in prison without the possibility of parole.
He is due back in court on July 23.
