Fliers have been posted along High Line Park in Chelsea, asking tourists to respect the privacy of the neighborhood's residents.

"How you would feel if 3 million people a year trampled your street, your neighborhood and your local park and act in the way that your morals or religion or general human consideration would dictate?" reads one of the flyers.

But not all New Yorkers agree.

"It's a park and I don't think anyone's making that much noise," said one New Yorker. "It's the Meatpacking District, the nightlife here is crazy, so you should be kind of used to it. Live somewhere else if you don't like the noise."

"I think it's ridiculous," said another New Yorker. "People who live in New York City should expect noise. The High Line's not even open at night."

It is unclear who posted the flyers.

More than 3.5 million people visited the High Line last year.

A recent survey shows that half of the park's visitors are New Yorkers. ClientIP:, UserAgent: CCBot/2.0 ( Profile: TWCSAMLSP
