The man accused earlier this week of plotting terror against the city will be back in court next month.
Jose Pimentel was supposed to learn Friday whether he would be indicted, but that has been pushed to December 5.
A new lawyer was also appointed to represent him because of a conflict of interest.
The Legal Aid Society represented the informant in Pimentel's case in an unrelated matter.
Authorities say Pimentel was building a pipe bomb and told the informant he was targeting government officials, buildings and soldiers returning from war.
