In an interview with political anchor Errol Louis, Representative Anthony Weiner speaks at length about the lewd photo sent to a Seattle woman on his Twitter social media account and he takes some responsibility for the uproar that's ensued.

In an interview that will air on "Inside City Hall," Weiner says he probably made a mistake by not doing more interviews about the photo earlier.

"That was a mistake that I made but now I am doing these interviews with anyone who wants and I'm going to desperately try to get back to work as a congressman tomorrow, if not for my sake, for my wife's sake," he says.

“I treated it like the hoax or prank that I thought it was,’’ Weiner says. He also says he does not know the woman who was supposed to get the photo.

“I saw it go up, I deleted it. The woman who was apparently supposed to get it never did. I did not send it. She did not get it. She has put out a statement saying that she does not know me. I certainly do not know her," the congressman says. "This looks like a prank, but it is certainly a prank that has gotten an enormous amount of oxygen and attention that maybe I contributed to, but are so hard to explain.”

See portions of the interview above or watch it in its entirely at 7 p.m. and 10 p.m. on “Inside City Hall.”
