The Broadway actor who was injured last month while performing in “Spider-Man: Turn Off The Dark” was released from the hospital today.

Christopher Tierney, the stunt man for the lead of "Spider-Man," walked out of the Rusk Institute of Rehabilitation Medicine on the East Side, a little more than two weeks after his fall.

He plunged 30 feet from a platform in a "Spider-Man" preview on December 20, and received a variety of injuries, including a skull fracture and cracked vertebrae.

"I feel great, the fresh air. I can't wait to actually take a walk around New York, and maybe even be on the West Side of the city. I feel like I've been here forever," said Tierney. "I'm going to drop my stuff off at my house and maybe go do some belated Christmas shopping."

Last night at the Broadway musical, actress T.V. Carpio began performances as lead villainess Arachne, replacing actress Natalie Mendoza, who left the show last week.

Carpio told NY1 she was impressed by Tierney's recovery.

"Chris Tierney is Spider-Man, he's the superhero. I saw him today, he's walking," said Carpio. "His spirit is the spirit of Spider-Man. We all love him, he's brought us closer together than before. It's pretty amazing, he's an amazing man."

Tierney said he hopes to return to the production as soon as possible. ClientIP:, UserAgent: CCBot/2.0 ( Profile: TWCSAMLSP
