The New York City Police Department is searching for a bank robber accused of using a bouquet of flowers in a recent heist.
The NYPD put out the above surveillance photo of the man who robbed the Bank of Smithtown on 18th Street and Seventh Avenue in Manhattan Thursday morning.
Police say he walked up to the teller, pulled a note from the bouquet which demanded money, and said "Give me all your 100s, 50s; don't be a hero."
Police say the teller gave the man cash and he fled, leaving the flowers behind.
The New York Post says the same man also robbed a Capital One bank the week before, using a potted plant instead.
The man is described as between 30 and 35 years old, approximately 5 feet 8 to 5 feet 10 inches tall.
Anyone with information about the case is being asked to contact Crime Stoppers by calling 1-800-577-TIPS, by texting TIP577 to CRIMES, or by going to NYPDCrimeStoppers.com.
