The family of a three-month-old girl who survived a deadly fire in Brooklyn said Saturday that the infant is out of danger after undergoing several surgeries.
Last month, Maria Maura Chan was thrown her out of a burning building in Bensonhurst by her mother, Luisa Ordoñez de Chan.
The mother also saved her two-year-old son by dropping him out the window.
Ordoñez de Chan, seen above, and four others were killed in the fire, which officials say was intentionally set.
Daniel Ignacio faces murder and arson charges.
Police sources say Ignacio told investigators he was drunk when he lit a baby carriage on fire near the door of the building before going upstairs to his apartment and falling asleep.
