While the overall number of post offices set to close nationwide has decreased, six local stations may still be forced to close their doors.

The Tudor City office in Manhattan, the Crotona Park, Oak Point and Van Nest offices in the Bronx, and a Long Island City parcel post annex and the LaGuardia location in Queens are still in danger of closing.

The United States Postal Service has reportedly trimmed its list of locations that may close to 170 from 3,600.

The USPS projects to lose up to $7.8 billion this year.
