The Health Department will begin spraying parts of Queens later this week to try and squash the West Nile virus.

Mosquitoes in the area tested positive for the virus, but there have been no human cases reported this year.

Pesticide-spraying trucks will be out in several neighborhoods starting Thursday night at 8 p.m. and will continue through 6 a.m. Friday.

If there's bad weather, the spraying will be delayed until Monday, August 24th.

The affected zip codes include 11373, 11374, 11378 and 11379.
