Maison O is a new restaurant in the Nolita neighborhood of Manhattan that serves up fun flair and flavorful takes on traditional Asian food. Zagat editor Maureen Giannone filed the following report for NY1.
Maison O opened its doors midsummer, becoming home to famed Chef Tadashi's impeccable take on high-end traditional Asian fare within a wonderfully fun Asian-pop environment.
Designer and owner Jason Volenec said the restaurant group was motivated "to bring wonderful and exquisite izakaya fare and present it in a very casual, playful and whimsical way."
As guests walk through this venue, they can experience a whole new world of sushi, yakatori and even drinks and karaoke, depending on where they take a seat and stay awhile.
Whether its asparagus and bacon or chicken skewers with the "10,000 year" sauce, yakatori is the chef's specialty and a phenomenal addition to the downtown dining scene.
Adding to a stellar group of neighboring restaurants in Nolita, Maison O is definitely a New York experience diners won't want to miss.
