The new "Harry Potter" attraction isn't the only new feature at Universal Studios Orlando. There are plenty of other souped-up attractions at Universal as well. NY1's Valarie D'Elia filed the following report.

There's some big stuff happening at Universal studios this year.

"Harry Potter’s" Diagon Alley might be the new kid on the block at Universal Studios, but don’t miss the other fresh attractions at the theme park.

The much ballyhooed Gringotts ride wasn’t operating properly at the media preview, but if it is remotely like Transformers-The Ride 3D, then you will be in for a thrill.

Based on the blockbuster "Transformers" film series that I personally didn ot see, I was so caught up in the action, it didn’t matter.

Though it might be a bit too in your face for little kids, if you are traveling with a family in tow.

Your best bet is the absolutely adorable "Despicable Me" Minion Mayhem attraction.

Well, there goes the neighborhood. Simpsons fans will get a big kick out of the new Springfield expansion—where you can enter the 3D world of the popular animated family.

“Flaming Moe is a secret process, but when you get it frothing and bubbling. It kind of tickles the nose. We have Barney here; he’s one of our icons here at Moe’s tavern," says Mike West of Universal Creative.

Meanwhile, after hours, Universal City Walk, the nighttime entertainment complex is adding eight new venues.

At the hot dog hall of fame you have the choice of nine hot dogs, but to me only one matters, and that is the New York dog.

Make sure to carve time out during the day for the relatively new Superstar Parade, a low key way for small children to enjoy seeing all the characters they know by heart.
