There's a new addition to the "wizarding" world of Harry Potter at Universal Studios in London, and it will take you on a journey. NY1's Valarie D'Elia filed the following report.
Thinking of heading to London this summer ? Follow us on board the Hogwarts Express.
“We’ve taken two parts of the fiction and woven them together in two theme parks by the Hogwarts Express. It's really quite extraordinary,“ says Mark Woodbury, president of Universal Creative.
Not just a link between two theme parks but another world—the "wizarding" world that is.
“This is spectacular as well. I make the journey to Kings Cross probably twice a week back home and seeing this—I mean, it's so accurate. It's like getting off a train in London," says actor Matthew Lewis.
Guests need a two-park ticket to ride the train between Hogsmeade at Islands of Adventure and London at Universal Studios.
Welcome to the London of Harry Potter’s Diagon Alley, which has its very own currency exchange where you can trade your muggle money for Gringotts Bank Notes to spend at shops and restaurants on everything from wands to wizard’s brew.
One of the things fans can really bank on is an out of this world experience at the new thrill ride
Despite some early kinks at the media preview, this ride promises to be a technological marvel with high-definition animation, and over the top special effects.
Diagon Alley casts its spell on the general public starting July 8.
