NY1's Valarie D'Elia filed the following report with some great tips for inexpensive gifts for travelers this holiday season.

The practical yet quirky travel products store known as Flight 001 has landed for a quick layover at Chelsea market this holiday season.

"I just think that everyone is trying to make travel easy as possible, and that's what Flight 001 is trying to do," says Brad John, the co-owner of Flight 001. "We try to make it organized and wonderful, so you can travel in comfort."

"I look for things that are all in one, like the adapters that have all of the different countries together," said one person.

"Gift bags that you can put all your travel products in and, just things that make it easy to stuff everything all together.

It seems that everything is about compartmentalizing.

Many of the gifts at the pop-up store are great stocking stuffers under $25, like this cute little tube for loose tea on the go. Getting a charge out of portable and solar batteries is popular this season, as well as techy gadgets like a wireless Bluetooth speaker for your iPhone. And who won't be the envy of your seatmates with a collapsible food tray?

For the stylish traveler who doesn't really want to leave the Big Apple behind, check out the fun collage-art luggage pieces from Jane Elissa.

"It's made to entertain and make people happy," Elissa says.

You'll feel good that a percentage of sales go to cancer charities. Get 20 percent off all online purchases as a bonus D'Elia's Deal. For more information, visit janeelissa.com.

If you're like me and roll up bottles of wine in your dirty laundry and pray on the plane that it doesn't break in your suitcase, then Neoprene single and double wine bottle protectors that velcro together in one neat package are for you. For more information, visit wineenthusiast.com.

As is common practice in the travel industry, Travel With Val often receives complimentary travel or reduced "media" rates at hotels, resorts and attractions, including those that may be featured in these reports. Such consideration is not taken in exchange for any express or implied promise or understanding of any nature, particularly regarding the content of these reports. These reports only feature travel providers personally recommended by Valarie D’Elia in the exercise of her independent editorial judgment, and do not represent the endorsement of Time Warner Cable or any third party.
