Keke Palmer will soon be the first African-American to play Cinderella on Broadway.

The 21-year-old is known for her film roles in "Akeelah in the Bee" and "Barbershop 2."

Her TV roles include starring on her own BET talk show and on Showtime's "Masters of Sex."

She's also released two albums: "So Uncool" in 2007 and a self-titled EP in 2012.

Palmer will make her Broadway debut in "Rodgers & Hammerstein's Cinderella."

Her first show with the cast will be September 9 at the Broadway Theater.
