There's something new on Broadway.
Cast members from "Cinderella," "Mamma Mia," and "The Phantom of the Opera" were on hand Thursday to announce an addition to their lineup: the Thursday matinee.
They say the change lets theater lovers cram more shows in during a long weekend.
"I think over the course of the summer, it's going to be great for our show, and especially because there's a lot of tourists who want to see 'Mamma Mia' and 'Phantom' and 'Cinderella,' so I think it's the perfect opportunity for them to see this on Thursdays and still be able to see other shows throughout the weekend," said Joe Carroll, who plays "Prince Topher" in "Cinderella."
"Matilda: The Musical" is also considering a Thursday matinee show for later this summer.
