Broadway is filling fewer seats for the second year in a row.

Broadway League figures show a 6 percent attendance drop this past season.

About 11 million people went to the theater between this May and last, down from more than 12 million the previous season.

Theatergoers spent more than $1 billion on tickets, but Broadway still saw its first revenue drop in four years.

The Broadway trade association blamed Hurricane Sandy for the bad year.

They said sales were above last year's until the storm hit the region. ClientIP:, UserAgent: CCBot/2.0 ( Profile: TWCSAMLSP
