Headless Horseman Hay Rides and Haunted Houses in Ulster County has been providing chills and thrills for 23 seasons with elaborate scenes and sets that will scare the unscareable. Time Warner Cable News' Jon Dougherty filed the following report.

It's that time of year where brave souls travel to the Hudson Valley from near and far to test their fear levels against some of the scariest ghouls and goblins.

"It's definitely one of the best we've been to. We've traveled the tri-state area and this is definitely one of the best," said one visitor.

Headless Horseman Hay Rides and Haunted Houses in Ulster County has been providing chills and thrills for 23 seasons with elaborate scenes and sets that will scare the unscareable.

"Professional make-up artists, set designers, professional riders and actors—it's actually a destination," said Michael Jubie, the co-owner of Headless Horseman Hay Rides & Haunted Houses.

It takes a cast of 350 to put on what has been called the best place to feel the hairs on the back of your neck stand up.

"We have a one mile long hayride. It's like a traveling play. You sit on the hayride, you travel through the 13 sets. We have six haunted houses here. We have a motel you have to go through, we have a diner, slaughter house. We're only 90 miles north of Manhattan and the Hudson Valley offers an awful lot," Jubie said.

Featured on many network shows, Headless Horseman has also been named as one of the top haunted attractions in the country by industry publications.

With a reputation like that, it's required to take your job seriously.

"When you walk onto this property, there's nothing like it. It's a magical feeling," said Frank Castella Jr., an employee of the company.

And it's waiting for you. That is, if you dare.
