Drawing inspiration from painters, one designer at Fashion Week uses fabric as his canvas.

Hand-painted brush strokes, intricate beading and fur made up Dennis Basso's Fall 2014 collection.

The designer said that this year, it's all about being creative and daring.

"I think the idea of hand-painting fabric really changed the whole feeling," Basso said. "We've done ombre, so it goes light to dark and mixing fuchsia and mixing raspberry to create two colors that you might not have put together years ago, well now, they're together and looking fabulous."

Basso said that his fall collection will make women feel modern and confident.
