Fashion icon Betsey Johnson unveils her spring collection with an outfit for every day of the week and a print for every personality. NY1's Cheryl Wills filed the following report.

You have to love Betsey Johnson. The free-spirited designer pulls no punches when it comes to styling the girl next door, and her spring 2014 collection is a potpourri of prints from head to toe.

Check out what Dr. Betsey has ordered in her so-called "One-a-Day" plan: Signature styles like a cotton jumpsuit and a tulle gown that will get you from the cubicle to the cocktail party in a flash.

"Look good pills," Johnson says. "You take your one-a-day Betsey outfit and you can wear it every day for 365 days."

NY1 chatted up the fun-loving fashion icon during rehearsals. With more than 30 years in the business, Betsey called her latest line one of her coolest lines yet.

"You are looking at, Cheryl, what I would wear, and I have a very small capsule collection of clothes I like," she says.

"I thought Betsey was amazing," says Michelle Herrera Mulligan, editor-in-chief of Cosmo for Latinas. "I loved the feminine punk, hip hop, '90s."

"It was a very mathematical equation, where it was like, the shoes, the bag, everything matched" says designer LuLu Johnson. "It was very different from my mother's other collections."

"I thought it was the best show she's ever done," says Mary Lou Luther of International Fashion Syndicate. "I was so impressed with her coordination on the accessories. Everything was flawless."

Season after season, Betsey Johnson ends her zany show with a cartwheel. This time, though, she had some company: her granddaughter, Layla. Watch out fashion world, a new Betsey is born!
