Bright colors and bold patterns make up an energetic spring 2014 collection from Tracy Reese.

Inspired by Afro-Cuban cultures, Reese infused her designs with tropical flowers and tribal patterns.

Reese also paired her designs with accessories from straw hats to silk scarves to big backpacks.

The designer said this spring line is more romantic than past seasons.

"There's a lot of great sensual stuff," she said. "Silky slips, and full, I'm calling them "dulce vida" dresses and skirts, because that's more Spanish. But it's a bit of old and a bit of new."

First Lady Michelle Obama is known for sporting Tracy Reese designs.
