A controversial comedy about the assassination of North Korea's Leader will see a Christmas Day release as originally promised, including here in the city.

While most big theaters opted out, smaller independent cinemas still plan to show "The Interview".

President Obama had said Sonys decision to completely scrap the film set a bad precedent.

Meanwhile, after a nearly 10-hour shutdown of the Internet in North Korea, everything is back up and running.

It remains unclear if the U.S. had anything to do with the outage.

Federal investigators have blamed the communist nation for the cyber attack on Sony Pictures.
