The music world is mourning the loss of singer, composer, and performer Gloria Lynne who, according to her publicist, passed away of natural causes earlier this week at her home in East Orange, New Jersey.

The New York born singer was the first artist to be listed on the Pop, Jazz and R&B Charts simultaneously.

In 1931, at the age of 15, she took home first prize at the Apollo Theater's "Amateur Night".

Lynne put out more than 50 albums during her career.

Some of her bigger hits included "I Wish You Love”, "I'm Glad There Is You," “He Needs Me” and “I Thought About You”.
